It is known that children experience significant anxiety in the preoperative period. Depending on this, problems such as surgical complications, nightmares, eating and sleeping disorders may occur in children. Preoperative preparation of the child and his family by nurses in accordance with the developmental stage reduces these problems. In addition, it is important that this preparatory education can be offered in different languages for reasons such as medical tourism and immigration. The aim of this study was to measure the effectiveness of pre-operative education, reading/showing it to the child by the caregiver, via a phone application (application) via a picture story, in order to reduce anxiety, increase the quality of care and It is planned to reduce the postoperative complications by facilitating the pre-operative preparation process of the child and her family.
